Will I get altitude sickness at Mount Wutai?
No. Taihuai Town at Mount Wutai sits at about 1,700m, Dailuoding Peak about 1,900m — well below the altitude sickness threshold (generally 2,500m+). The highest peak, Beitai Summit at 3,061m, is not included in the itinerary. Guests arriving from sea-level Singapore have reported zero discomfort.
Can I visit the Hanging Temple if I'm afraid of heights?
You can view it from below — the Hanging Temple is just as breathtaking from a distance. If you want to go up, the walkway is about 50cm wide with guardrails. Those with a fear of heights can opt out. Your travel consultant explains the situation on-site in advance — no pressure on anyone.
Will the food suit me? Can overseas Chinese adapt?
